Success shouldn’t cost you yourself
For the ambitious woman ready to stop overthinking, people-pleasing, and pushing through—and start leading with calm, clarity, and confidence.
Regain your confidence and discover your true self.
If perfectionism, overthinking, people pleasing, or running off fumes has been your method to success, its time to learn how to lead differently
You don’t need to lose yourself to gain success. Quiet the pressure to be perfect, and trust yourself enough to create success on your own terms.
Congratulations, you did the “right thing”, you have the title, you earned the recognition…
but you’re still waiting on the moment of feeling content and fulfilled ….
The truth is you are just left feeling lost, exhausted and barely holding it together…
Its time to unlearn the outdated myth that happiness & success only comes from hard work and giving your all. You need the keys to live a higher quality of life that you’ve been wanting this whole time… It’s time to get off that hamster wheel going no where, and start moving toward a life of purpose with confidence and authenticity…
Your survival mode and defenses got you to where you are now but its ok to let them go now. I think you know its not sustainable. Living from the defensive state of people pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, overthinking, rigidity and perpetual exhaustion will only take you so far.
No one gets an award for experiencing the most burnout…
Learning to lead from a place of purpose and authenticity-you wont recognize yourself but you will feel more like yourself than ever before.
When Perfection has been your protection…
It can be really hard to let go of the way of working that got you to the level of success you reached. The exhaustion, tension, lack of fulfillment is a sign its time to find a more sustainable way of continuing to progress toward success. Think of perfectionism as a relentless bully or a hostile manager who never acknowledges your efforts. The feeling of defeat that can come after thinking you hit the mark, just to learn the boos has moved the bar even further. This constant pressure can leave you feeling like a failure, regardless of how much you’ve accomplished.
Truth is, the pursuit of perfection is like running on the hamster wheel… trying to still prove your worth but your getting nowhere
*Giving- giving- giving, and feeling depleted with no sense of fulfillment in the end
*Dreaming of the day you will finally feel happy and get out of the cycle
*Feeling like no matter what you do you can’t win, you feel like your giving your all and still nobody is happy.
*Doing everything for everyone but never felt more disconnected from yourself in your life.
After so many years of leading from a place of survival, it can be hard to let down the the defenses. Before letting them go, its important to understand them first:
-
Defenses are ways we have learned to protect ourselves, and maybe we needed those defenses whether it was people pleasing, staying quiet, being aggressive, or escaping the situation. Problem is, those defenses likely no longer serve us and have become maladaptive behavior patterns that get in the way of being our CORE SELF.
-
A combination of Nature and Nurture. Some of us are born a bit more anxious, aware of others, wanting to do well. When we journey through chronically problematic spaces in our life, we take some of our natural traits to the extreme and/or develop other responses to help us survive those difficult situations.
-
It’s likely noticeable if we’ve ever been asked “are you ok?” But not all of us have a person around them brave enough to ask a hard working independent woman if they are “ok”. They will avoid the topic, or you. This can impact our connections with others, and will definitely keep us in survival mode aka road to burnout.
-
You will want to first get curious as to what may have activated defenses and how old is this behavior pattern. Next you will want to rework those unhelpful narratives you have been operating under. You will then want to get your body to catch up with these new thoughts by calming down the survival mode responses. Finally start getting in alignment with your newfound safety and security within yourself and start taking action on value aligned paths to get you to operate CONFIDENTLY and AUTHENTICALLY!
More About Me:
Hi, I’m Clarissa
I’m a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, behavior change, life transitions, and integrative mental health, with certifications in breathwork and meditation. I help high-performing women who’ve reached a point where self-help no longer works.
I teach practical, holistic tools to improve functioning and quality of life. After years guiding clients through emotions, work stress, and family strain, I realized many people don’t need more therapy—they need mentorship. That led me to expand support beyond the therapy room.
I’ve experienced imposter syndrome, feeling lost, irritability, and burnout myself. Shifting my perspective, clarifying my values, practicing self-compassion, and exploring spirituality helped me live more aligned and fulfilled. I’m professionally more confident, personally more content, more present, and better connected with people I care about. I want the same for you.
